Salsa Bruschetta on Baguette

A zesty, cheesy bruschetta made with our fresh Sour Dough baguette, layered with bold salsa, melted cheese, and a hint of garlic. Baked to perfection and topped with fresh herbs and creamy avocado. A perfect appetizer or snack with a delicious kick!


INGREDIENTS

1 fresh baguette, sliced into ½-inch rounds
1 cup salsa (mild, medium, or hot, depending on preference)
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Monterey Jack)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
½ tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro or parsley (optional)
1 avocado, diced (optional)

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the baguette slices – Arrange them on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.
Toast the bread – Bake for about 5 minutes or until just crisp.
Mix the salsa & garlic – In a small bowl, combine salsa, minced garlic, and oregano.
Top the bread – Spoon the salsa mixture onto each baguette slice and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
Bake again – Return to the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish & serve – Top with fresh cilantro or parsley and diced avocado if using. Serve warm!
